PENANJONG GARRISON, Monday, 7 February 2022 – Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah Bin Haji Sahat, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), made a farewell visit to the Special Forces Regiment (SFR) where he was greeted by Lieutenant Colonel Muhd Suwardi Ariffin bin PDLDP Haji Abdul Latiff, Commanding Officer of SFR.
The ceremony, which took place at SFR’s cookhouse, started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa led by Staff Sergeant Awang Mohd Ariff bin Mohd Yunos and followed with a speech delivered by the SFR Commanding Officer. In his remarks, he highlighted the Commander of RBAF’s effort and guidance in determining the development and direction of the SFR as an elite unit that remains relevant and committed. He also highlighted the Regiment’s numerous and significant accomplishments, which would not be possible without the Commander of RBAF’s continuous support.
The Commander of RBAF then delivered his farewell speech that underlined the importance of consistent training, maintaining operational readiness and upholding RBAF’s image, and the need to stay focused on the organisation’s core purpose in the security business. Here, he reiterated a verse from the Al-Quran, mentioning that all personnel should fulfil their religious obligations to reinforce discipline. He also advised each person to strive for the best for the benefits of the RPK and further emphasised the need to monitor personnel welfare and correlate it to the role of leadership.
The Commander of RBAF was then ceremoniously sent off by the entire Regiment in a procession before concluding it with a group photo session and a farewell gift.
KUNJUNGAN PERPISAHAN PEMERINTAH ABDB KE REJIMEN PASUKAN KHAS (RPK)
PENANJONG GARISON, Isnin, 07 Februari 2022 - Mejar Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah Bin Haji Sahat, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), telah membuat Kunjungan Perpisahan ke Rejimen Pasukan Khas (RPK) di mana beliau telah disambut oleh Leftenan Kolonel Muhd Suwardi Ariffin bin PDLDP Haji Abdul Latiff, Pegawai Pemerintah RPK.
Majlis tersebut, diadakan di Rumah Masak SRG, dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan Doa yang dikepalai oleh Staf Sarjan Awang Mohd Ariff bin Mohd Yunos, dan diikuti dengan ucapan daripada Pegawai Pemerintah RPK. Dalam ucapannya, beliau menekankan usaha dan bimbingan Pemerintah ABDB dalam menentukan pembangunan serta hala tuju RPK sebagai unit elit yang sentiasa relevan dan berkomitmen serta beberapa pencapaian signifikan rejimen yang tidak akan dicapai tanpa sokongan berterusan dari Pemerintah ABDB.
Pemerintah ABDB kemudian menyampaikan ucapan perpisahan beliau dengan menggariskan kepentingan latihan yang konsisten, mengekalkan kesiapsiagaan operasi dan sentiasa menjaga imej ABDB serta mengekalkan tumpuan kepada tujuan teras organisasi RPK sebagai unit khas dalam memastikan keselamatan negara. Beliau turut memetik ayat Al-Quran bagi mengingati setiap anggota untuk menunaikan kewajipan agama mereka untuk mengukuhkan disiplin masing-masing. Beliau turut menasihati agar setiap anggota berusaha menghasilkan sesuatu demi manfaat RPK dan menekankan keperluan untuk memantau kebajikan anggota serta mengaitkannya dengan peranan kepimpinan.
Pemerintah ABDB kemudiannya di arak keluar oleh seluruh warga Rejimen sebelum mengakhiri majlis tersebut dengan sesi bergambar ramai dan penyampaian cenderahati perpisahan.
