LUMUT CAMP, Friday, 04 February 2022 – Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah Bin Haji Sahat, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), made a farewell visit to the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) at Lumut Camp, in accordance to the COVID-19 guidelines by the Ministry of Health.
Upon arrival at the Third Battalion RBLF Headquarters, the Commander of RBAF was greeted by Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of RBLF and received an Honorary Salute where he inspected a Guard of Honor consisting of RBLF personnel. Also in attendance were Deputy Commander of RBLF, Chief of Staff RBLF, senior officers, officers, Land Force Sergeant Major and other RBLF personnel.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Captain Muhd Nasyrul Wafiy bin Haji Mahdini, Operations Officer from the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT) followed by a short video clip presentation of the visits and events attended by the RBAF Commander to RBLF. This was followed by a speech delivered by the Commander of RBLF where he expressed gratitude for the Commander of RBAF advice, support and guidance towards the RBLF. He further highlighted that the Commander of RBAF’s efforts and initiatives have expanded various aspects of the RBAF including operations, training, and welfare for the continuous development of the RBAF to the pinnacle of excellence.
The Commander of RBAF then delivered his farewell speech where he emphasised the importance of maintaining the welfare of personnel at all levels, to practice self-reflection and maintaining faith and piety to produce disciplined personnel. He also reminded all personnel to always persevere when faced with trials and tribulations, especially when performing their respective duties.
The ceremony then concluded with the presentation of mementos to the Commander of RBAF from RBLF officers and personnel as a token of appreciation and to commemorate his tenure as Commander of RBAF, the signing of parchment, a tree-planting ceremony within the compounds of Surau Ar-Rahmah and a group photo session.
KUNJUNGAN PERPISAHAN PEMERINTAH ANGKATAN BERSENJATA DIRAJA BRUNEI KE TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI
PERKHEMAHAN LUMUT, Jumaat, 04 Februari 2022 – Mejar Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), telah membuat kunjungan perpisahan ke Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) bertempat di Perkhemahan Lumut mengikut garispandu COVID-19 yang ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan.
Sejurus tiba di Markas Batalion Ketiga TDDB, Pemerintah ABDB disambut oleh Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah TDDB di mana beliau telah menerima tabik hormat dan seterusnya memeriksa perbarisan kawalan kehormatan yang terdiri daripada anggota TDDB. Turut hadir ialah Timbalan Pemerintah TDDB, Ketua Staf TDDB, Pegawai-pegawai Kanan, pegawai-pegawai, Sarjan Mejar TDDB serta anggota-anggota TDDB.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah yang dipimpin oleh Kapten Muhd Nasyrul Wafiy bin Haji Mahdini, Pegawai Operasi daripada Jabatanarah Agama ABDB (JAMA’AT) dan tayangan video klip pendek menunjukkan kunjungan dan majlis-majlis yang dihadiri oleh Pemerintah ABDB ke TDDB. Ini diikuti dengan ucapan daripada Pemerintah TDDB di mana beliau menzahirkan rasa penghargaan atas segala nasihat, sokongan dan panduan Pemerintah ABDB terhadap TDDB. Beliau juga menekankan usaha-usaha padu yang telah dilaksanakan Pemerintah ABDB bagi mengembangluaskan pelbagai aspek dalam ABDB yang merangkumi sudut operasi, latihan dan kebajikan anggota demii perkembangan berterusan ABDB ke mercu kecemerlangan.
Seterusnya Pemerintah ABDB menyampaikan ucapan perpisahan di mana beliau menekankan kepentingan untuk sentiasa menjaga kebajikan anggota di semua peringkat, mengamalkan muhasabah diri serta menjaga iman dan takwa dalam menjadikan anggota TDDB yang berdisiplin. Beliau juga mengingatkan semua anggota TDDB agar sentiasa tabah menghadapi cubaan dan dugaan terutamanya ketika menjalankan tugas masing-masing.
Majlis tersebut di akhiri dengan penyampaian cenderahati kenangan daripada pegawai-pegawai dan anggota-anggota TDDB sebagai tanda ingatan dan penghargaan atas sumbangan dan kepimpinan beliau sebagai Pemerintah ABDB, penandatanganan lembaran kenangan, penanaman pokok di kawasan Surau Ar-Rahmah dan sesi bergambar ramai.
