BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday 6 May 2016 – The Deputy Minister of Defence, First Admiral (Retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin haji Mohd Tamit received a farewell call at the Ministry of Defence from His Excellency Brigadier (Retd) Muhammad Zareef Malik, the High Commissioner for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam.

During the courtesy call, both sides expressed satisfaction on the warm bilateral defence relations shared by Brunei Darussalam and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which will continue to strengthen through regular exchanges of visits by defence and military officials, policy dialogues and trainings. His Excellency also hoped to expand the existing cooperation by exploring opportunities in Pakistan’s defence industry.

His Excellency also congratulated Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) for the successful conduct of the ADMM – Plus Maritime Security and Counter – terrorism Exercise, which is currently on-going from the 2 to 12 May 2016.

His Excellency Brigadier (Retd) Zareef Malik expressed his gratitude to the MINDEF and the RBAF for the exceptional defence working relationship during his tenure as the High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam.

The Deputy Minister of Defence expressed gratitude to His Excellency for his outstanding contribution wished him well in all his future endeavors.
