BOLKIAH GARRISION, Friday 6 May 2016 – Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received a farewell call from His Excellency Brigadier (Retd) Muhammad Zareef Malik, the High Commissioner for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam.

During the call, both sides affirmed the close bilateral defence relationship between Brunei Darussalam and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and discussed opportunities to further expand the existing defence cooperation in areas of mutual benefits and interests for both armed forces.

His Excellency also congratulated RBAF Commander for the successful conduct of the ASEAN Defence Ministers Meeting Plus Maritime Security and Counter Terrorism (ADMM-Plus MS & CT) Exercise which is currently ongoing and is in its second leg of the exercise in the Republic of Singapore.

Brigadier (Retd) Muhammad Zareef Malik thanked RBAF Commander for the personal friendship accorded, and expressed his satisfaction and deep appreciation for the good working relationship he has enjoyed with RBAF during his tenure in Brunei Darussalam. RBAF Commander echoed His Excellency’s sentiments and wished his Excellency and family well for their future endeavours.
