REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Wednesday 14 May 2014 – Exercise Maju Bersama between the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) and the Singapore Army was officially closed held at the Murai Urban Training Facility, Singapore.

The exercise was closed by Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Yussof bin Haji Abd Rahman, Commander of the RBLF, and Brigadier General Perry Lim, Chief of Army, Singapore Army.

This year’s exercise was hosted by the Singapore Army from 7 to 14 May 2014. 400 personnel from the 1st Guard Singapore Infantry Battalion and the 1Bn RBLF participated in the exercise.

The concept of the exercise was on urban operations training including combined planning, field exercise as well as live-firing. This exercise further strengthens the existing diplomatic relationship between both armies and enhance mutual cooperation and an opportunity to update doctrine and operational procedures.

The next exercise will be hosted by the RBLF in Brunei Darussalam, which will be the 20th Exercise Maju Bersama.
