Thursday, 8 April 2021 – A
Doa Kesyukuran function was held to welcome the return of two Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) officers who have been deployed for 13 months as part of the Independent Decommissioning Body Verification, Monitoring and Assistance Team (IDB VMAT) 2/2020 in Mindanao, the Republic of the Philippines. The contingent headed by Lieutenant Colonel Mohd Hanafi Azami bin Nayan, together with Captain (U) Mohammad Aliff bin Haji Zulkifli had returned to Brunei Darussalam on 10 March 2021.
The religious function, held at Surau Ad-Difa’, Bolkiah Garrison was attended by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Defence II. Also present were Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, RBAF Commander, military and civilian officers, and staff of the Ministry of Defence and the RBAF.
The event began with the recitation of holy verses from the Al-Quran, followed by a
tazkirah and
Doa
Kesyukuran. The event concluded with the mass
Zuhur prayer.

Bolkiah Garison, Khamis, 8 April 2021 – Majlis Doa Kesyukuran telah diadakan bagi meraikan kepulangan dua orang pegawai Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) yang telah menyertai penugasan selama 13 bulan di bawah
Independent Decommissioning Body Verification, Monitoring and Assistance Team (IDB VMAT) 2/2020 di Mindanao, Republik Filipina. Kontinjen yang diketuai oleh Leftenan Kolonel Mohd Hanafi Azami bin Nayan bersama dengan Kapten (U) Mohammad Aliff bin Haji Zulkifli telah kembali ke Negara Brunei Darussalam pada 10 Mac 2021.
Majlis yang berlangsung di Surau Ad-Difa’, Bolkiah Garison telah dihadiri oleh Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (B) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Menteri Pertahanan Kedua. Turut hadir bersama ialah Mejar Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Pemerintah ABDB, pegawai-pegawai tentera dan awam serta kakitangan Kementerian Pertahanan dan ABDB.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran, diikuti dengan tazkirah dan bacaan Doa Kesyukuran. Majlis kemudian disudahi dengan sembahyang Fardhu Zuhur berjemaah.
