RIZQUN INTERNATIONAL HOTEL, Monday 30 January 2017 – The Royal Thai Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan this evening hosted a reception to mark the 2017 Royal Thai Armed Forces Day that falls on 18th January of every year.
Present as guest of honour at the event was First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, the Deputy Minister of Defence and his spouse Datin Sakdiah binti Haji Mohd Noor.
Also present were Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and Captain (Rtd) Abd Rahman bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, RBN, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence as well as members of the Diplomatic Corp, officers from the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1984, Brunei Darussalam and Thailand have enjoyed close and warm defence relations, which over the years have continued to advance.
