SINGAPORE, Thursday 13 October 2016 - The GovWare 2016 Singapore International Cyber Week Conference (SICW) took place at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre from 10 to 12 October 2016 and was attended by Captain (Rtd) Haji Mohd Amirul Shahnoel bin Haji Mohd Noeh, RBN, the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Technology), Ministry of Defence, Brunei Darussalam.
The opening of the inaugural SICW conference on Monday, 10 October 2016 saw the launch of the Singapore National Cybersecurity Strategy by Mr. Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore. The Deputy Permanent Secretary (Technology) had the opportunity to engage in the latest trends in technology within Cyber Security, touching on topics such as cybersecurity strategies, the cyber threat landscape, approaches to cyber threat detection as well as cloud and mobile security challenges.
During this visit, Captain (Rtd) Haji Mohd Amirul Shahnoel bin Haji Mohd Noeh, RBN, also took the opportunity to pay a courtesy call to Mr. Ng Chee Khern, Permanent Secretary (Defence Development), MINDEF Singapore, and a bilateral call to Mr. David Koh, Deputy Secretary (Technology)/Deputy Secretary (Special Projects). These calls saw the exchange of satisfaction with the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding on Defence Technology Cooperation with the Ministry of Defence, Republic of Singapore. It was also acknowledged that platforms such as the SICW conference facilitates discussions with professionals around the world on rising cybersecurity concerns. The Deputy Permanent Secretary (Technology) and his delegation had the opportunity of continuing their visit to the Singapore Armed Forces and research institutions to engage with higher learning in cyber defence as well as related developments within the cybersecurity industry.

TIMBALAN SETIAUSAHA TETAP (TEKNOLOGI) MENGHADIRI PERSIDANGAN GOVWARE 2016 SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL CYBER WEEK
SINGAPURA, Khamis 13 Oktober 2016 - Persidangan GovWare 2016 Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) yang berlangsung di Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre pada 10 hingga 12 October 2016 telah dihadiri oleh Kepten (B) Haji Mohd Amirul Shahnoel bin Haji Mohd Noeh, TLDB, Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap (Teknologi).
Persidangan ini telah dirasmikan pada hari Isnin, 10 Oktober 2016 oleh Mr. Lee Hsien Loong, Perdana Menteri Republik Singapura. Pada majlis ini, Mr. Lee Hsien Loong telah juga melancarkan Singapore National Cybersecurity Strategy. Pada persidangan ini, Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap berpeluang melibatkan diri dalam trend terbaru dalam teknologi cybersecurity yang menyentuh tentang topik seperti strategi sekuriti siber, landskap ancaman siber, pendekatan terhadap pengesanan ancaman siber serta cabaran perkhidmatan cloud dan keselamatan mudah alih.
Semasa lawatan ini, Kepten (B) Haji Mohd Amirul Shahnoel bin Haji Mohd Noeh, TLDB, juga mengambil kesempatan untuk membuat kunjungan hormat kepada Mr. Ng Chee Khern, Setiausaha Tetap (Pembangunan Pertahanan), Kementerian Pertahanan Republik Singapura dan panggilan dua hala dengan Mr. David Koh, Timbalan Setiausaha (Teknologi) / Timbalan Setiausaha (Projek Khas), Kementerian Pertahanan Republik Singapura. Semasa perjumpaan ini, kedua-dua pihak merakamkan kepuasan dengan Memorandum Persefahaman dalam Kooperasi Teknologi Pertahanan dengan Kementerian Pertahanan Republik Singapura. Ia juga dipersetujui bahawa pentas seperti persidangan SICW memudahkan perbincangan mengenai peningkatan kebimbangan-kebimbangan cybersecurity dengan profesional dari seluruh dunia. Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap (Teknologi) dan delegasinya juga berpeluang meneruskan lawatan mereka kepada Singapore Armed Forces dan institusi penyelidikan yang terlibat dengan pembelajaran tinggi dalam pertahanan siber serta perkembangan berkaitan dalam industri cybersecurity.
