BOLKIAH GARRISON, Thursday, 29 September 2016 – The Deputy Minister of Defence, First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit today received an introductory call by Senior Colonel Wu Geng, the new People’s Republic of China’s Defence Attaché to Brunei Darussalam at the Ministry of Defence.
During the call, both sides expressed pleasure for the cordial and active bilateral defence relations between the two countries through the regular exchanges of visits of high level officials and other forms of interactions in trainings, courses and exercises. Both sides also took the opportunity to discuss issues of common concern.
Brunei Darussalam established diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China on 30 September 1991. For defence the relations are cemented with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Military Exchanges on 12 September 2003.
TIMBALAN MENTERI PERTAHANAN TERIMA KUNJUNGAN PENGENALAN DARI ATASE PERTAHANAN BARU CHINA
BOLKIAH GARISON, Khamis 29 September 2016 – Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan Negara Brunei Darussalam, Laksamana Pertama (B) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, hari ini menerima kunjungan pengenalan dari Atase Pertahanan Republik Rakyat China ke Negara Brunei Darussalam yang baru, Senior Colonel Wu Geng, di Kementerian Pertahanan.
Semasa kunjungan tersebut, kedua pihak menyatakan rasa gembira di atas hubungan dua hala yang berterusan baik dan aktif di antara kedua negara melalui pertukaran lawatan peringkat tinggi dan pelbagai interaski lainnya termasuk latihan, kursus dan latihan ketenteraan.
Brunei Darussalam menubuhkan hubungan diplomatik dengan Republik Rakyat China pada 30 September 1991. Kementerian Pertahanan Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Kementerian Pertahanan Nasional Republik Rakyat China menandatangani Memorandum Persefahaman mengenai Pertukaran Ketenteraan pada 12 September 2003.
