BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Monday 20 July 2015 – Singapore’s Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Home Affairs and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs, Masagos Zulkifli, paid a Hari Raya visit to the residence of Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat this afternoon.
The Singapore Minister, accompanied by his spouse, Jumelah Jaafar, was welcomed on arrival by Brunei’s Deputy Minister of Defence and spouse, Pg Datin Hajah Jamilah binti Pg Haji Mohd Yussof.
Delegation members accompanying Minister Zulkifli included Dr Mohamad Maliki bin Osman, Singapore’s Minister of State for Defence and National Development and spouse, as well as the Minister of State for National Development, Desmond Lee Ti-Seng and spouse.
Also joining the Singapore delegation was the High Commissioner of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency Jaya Ratnam, as well as other members of the High Commission.
The Hari Raya visit by the Singapore delegation illustrates the close and friendly relationship between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore, especially in the field of defence cooperation.
