KUALA LUMPUR, Tuesday 19 April 2016 – First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, the Deputy Minister of Defence attended the 15th Defence Services Asia 2016 at the Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur. Accompanying the Deputy Minister of Defence to the event was Captain (Rtd) Haji Mohd Amirul Shahnoel bin Haji Mohd Noeh, RBN, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Technology).

During the visit, the Deputy Minister of Defence had a bilateral call with Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Mohd Johari bin Baharum, Deputy Minister of Defence Malaysia, where both sides reaffirmed the excellent bilateral relations between both Ministries, particularly in defence and military cooperation. Both Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia also discussed other regional and international issues of mutual interests.

First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit also held a bilateral call with Admiral Harry B. Harris, Commander of the U.S. Pacific Command, where both countries discussed the bilateral defence and military cooperation which among others, include exchange of visits and exercises.

The Deputy Minister of Defence also had the opportunity to visit the exhibitions which provide updates on current defence industry development, latest technology, trends, products and services in various defence and security fields.
