LONDON, Monday 11 July 2016 – First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, the Deputy Minister of Defence is currently attending the Farnborough International Airshow, which was officiated today at the Farnborough Airport.
This afternoon, First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit held a bilateral call with Mr Mark Lancaster MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Defence Personnel and Veterans, UK. During the call, both sides expressed pleasure with the long-standing defence and military relations between Brunei Darussalam and the United Kingdom, characterized by regular exchanges of visits, as well as trainings and courses.
During the visit, the Deputy Minister of Defence also had the opportunity to witness a flying demonstration, which included both civilian and military aircrafts, and visited the trade exhibitions showcasing the most advanced aerospace and defence, as well as commercial and military aircrafts.
Part of First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit and delegation’s itinerary also include visits to UK’s military facilities, including Portsmouth Technology Park, which were arranged by MOD UK.
Accompanying the Deputy Minister of Defence to the Farnborough International Airshow is Captain (Rtd) Haji Mohd Amirul Shahnoel bin Haji Mohd Noeh, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Technology).
