JAKARTA, INDONESIA, Friday, 5 November 2022 – Yang Mulia Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, Deputy Minister of Defence attended the 9th Indo Defence 2022 Expo & Forum, organised by the Ministry of Defence, Republic of Indonesia, from 2 to 5 November 2022 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia. Accompanying the Deputy Minister was Yang Mulia Colonel (Retired) Haji Mohammad Norfahssin bin Haji Abdul Karim, Permanent Secretary (Development, Maintenance and Technology) and Chief of Staff Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), as a representative for the Commander RBLF.
The opening ceremony of the 9th Indo Defence 2022 Expo & Forum was officiated by Yang Terhormat Lieutenant General (Purnama) Prabowo Subianto, Minister of Defence, Republic of Indonesia during the Opening Ceremony Dinner. The 9th Indo Defence 2022 Expo & Forum exhibition was also visited by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Tuan Yang Terutama Joko Widodo, who also witnessed a live demonstration of defence equipment carried out by Special Forces Command (Kopassus) of the Indonesian National Army (TNI). The expo was held concurrently with the 6th Indo Marine 2022 Expo & Forum at the Pondok Dayung Naval Base and the 7th Indo Aerospace 2022 Expo & Forum at the Halim Perdanakusama Air Force Base, where the Deputy Minister of Defence had the opportunity to visit naval vessels and aircrafts displays.
The Minister of Defence of the Republic of Indonesia and the Deputy Minister of Defence also visited the two Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) S-70i Black Hawk helicopters and its airmen who participated in the flight demonstration and static display at the 7th Indo Aerospace 2022 Expo & Forum. This participation is a testament for both countries’ strong bilateral defence relationship.
With the theme “Peace, Prosperity, Strong Defence”, this year’s 9th Indo Defence Expo & Forum showcased the latest military, aviation, and nautical defence and security technologies as well as served as a platform for defence forces to assess military capabilities. This year’s expo attracted the participation of more than 1000 exhibitors from 60 countries which comprised 35,000 delegation members and trade visitors bringing in a variety of the latest military products and technologies.

TIMBALAN MENTERI PERTAHANAN HADIRI INDO DEFENCE 2022 EXPO & FORUM KALI KE-9
JAKARTA, INDONESIA, Jumaat, 5 November 2022 – Yang Mulia Brigedier Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan telah menghadiri Indo Defence 2022 Expo & Forum kali ke-9 anjuran Kementerian Pertahanan Republik Indonesia, dari 02 hingga 05 November 2022 di Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta Republik Indonesia. Turut mengiringi Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan ialah Yang Mulia Kolonel (Bersara) Haji Mohammad Norfahssin bin Haji Abdul Karim, Setiausaha Tetap (Pembangunan, Pemeliharaan dan Teknologi) dan Ketua Staff Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) selaku wakil Pemerintah TDDB.
Majlis pembukaan Indo Defence 2022 Expo & Forum ke-9 telah dirasmikan oleh Letnan Jenderal (Purnama) Prabowo Subianto Menteri Pertahanan Republik Indonesia di Majlis Makan Malam Pembukaan. Pameran ini juga dikunjungi oleh Presiden Republik Indonesia, Tuan Yang Terutama Joko Widodo, yang turut menyaksikan pertunjukan langsung (live demonstration) alat utama sistem persenjataan yang di lakukan oleh Pasukan Korps Pasukan Khusus (Kopassus) Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) Angkatan Darat (AD). Ekspo ini diadakan serentak dengan 6th Indo Marine 2022 Expo & Forum di Pangkalan TNI Angkatan Laut Pondok Dayung dan 7th Indo Aerospace 2022 Expo & Forum di Apron Selatan Pangkalan Udara (Lanud) TNI AU Halim Perdanakusuma, dimana Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan berpeluang membuat kunjungan ke kapal-kapal tentera laut dan pesawat-pesawat udara.
Menteri Pertahanan, Republik Indonesia dan Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan turut mengunjungi dua buah helikopter Black Hawk S-70i Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) dan anggota TUDB yang menyertai demonstrasi penerbangan di Pertunjukan Udara serta pameran statik di 7th Indo Aerospace 2022 Expo & Forum. Penyertaan ini adalah bukti hubungan pertahanan dua hala yang kukuh bagi kedua-dua negara.
Dengan tema “Peace, Prosperity, Strong Defence”, Indo Defence Expo & Forum ke-9 telah mempamerkan teknologi-teknologi ketenteraan terkini, penerbangan, dan teknologi pertahanan dan keselamatan nautika, serta sebagai landasan untuk menilai keupayaan-keupayaan tentera yang dipamerkan. Ekspo pada tahun ini menarik penyertaan lebih daripada 1000 peserta pameran dari 60 negara termasuk 35,000 ahli delegasi dan pelawat perdagangan dengan pelbagai produk dan teknologi ketenteraan terkini.
