JERUDONG, Thursday 5 Dec 2013 – Defence diplomacy interactions continues to build up at the Brunei Darussalam Defence International Exhibition (BRIDEX) 2013 where more courtesy calls were made today on the Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat at BRIDEX Conference Hall.

Following courtesy calls from Deputy Minister of Defence of Vietnam And Commander In-Chief, Vietnam People’s Navy, Admiral Nguyen Van Hien, the Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa received several more courtesy calls from the Secretary of State for Defence, Republic Democratic of Timor Leste (RTDL), Dr. Julio Tomas Pinto, Lieutenant General RM D Rathnayake, Sri Langka Chief of Army, Vice Admiral Tea Vinh, Commander of Royal Cambodian Navy.

During these calls, the discussion focused on the defence cooperation and future direction, as well as means towards increasing opportunities for exploring and enhancing further the scope and areas of defence cooperation that is mutually beneficial for Brunei Darussalam and these respective countries.
