BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Friday, 15 March 2019 – The Cooperation Against Transnational Threats (CATT) Workshop 2019 concluded today with a closing ceremony held at the Radisson Hotel.
The CATT Workshop 2019, which ran from March 4, was the sixth iteration of the workshop from a concept that was conceived in 2013. This year’s workshop is participated by 77 participants from 22 countries namely, Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Canada, Colombia, France, Fiji, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Tonga, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.
The guest of honour for the closing ceremony was Colonel Norhazalan bin Haji Abdullah, Chief of Staff of Joint Force Headquarters Royal Brunei Armed Forces. Also present were representatives and Defence Advisers/Attachés of foreign nations in Brunei Darussalam, as well as other government agencies.
In his speech, the guest of honour expressed the need for a greater degree of interagency and multinational cooperation in order to counter transnational threats.
The CATT 2019 Workshop successfully met the objectives of the Workshop which were to enhance cooperation, interoperability, understanding, and to promote networking of security sector professionals. These were done through executive-styled information sharing, and team-building activities among the participants.
The participants comprised the military, law enforcement, academics, and other governmental agency in the security sector.



BENGKEL COOPERATION AGAINST TRANSNATIONAL THREATS (CATT) 2019 BERAKHIR
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Jumaat, 15 Mac 2019 – Bengkel Cooperation Against Transnational Threats (CATT) 2019 berakhir dengan majlis penutup diadakan di Radisson Hotel, Bandar Seri Begawan.
Bengkel CATT Workshop 2019 bermula dari 4 hingga 15 Mac 2019 adalah kali keenam bengkel seumpamanya sejak ditubuhkan pada 2013. Bengkel pada tahun ini disertai oleh 77 orang peserta dari 22 buah negara iaitu, Australia, Bangladesh, Negara Brunei Darussalam, Kemboja, Kanada, Colombia, Perancis, Fiji, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Filipina, Singapura, Thailand, Tonga, United Kingdom, Amerika Syarikat, dan Vietnam.
Tetamu kehormat di majlis penutup ialah Kolonel Norhazalan bin Haji Abdullah, Ketua Staf Markas Angkatan Bersama Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB). Turut hadir ialah wakil-wakil, Penasihat Pertahanan / Atase negara sahabat di Negara Brunei Darussalam dan agensi kerajaan yang lain.
Dalam ucapannya, tetamu kehormat menyatakan keperluan untuk satu tahap yang lebih tinggi antara agensi dan kerjasama multinasional dalam menghadapi ugutan transnasional.
Bengkel CATT 2019 dengan jayanya meningkatkan kerjasama, saling bersefahaman dan meneroka profesional sektor keselamatan. Ianya dilakukan melalui perkongsian maklumat dan aktiviti pembinaan pasukan di kalangan peserta..
Para peserta terdiri dari Angkatan Tentera, penguatkuasaan undang-undang, para akademik dan agensi-agensi kerajaan lain dalam sektor keselamatan.
