BERAKAS GARRISON, Monday 16 September 2019 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) received a visit from Lieutenant General Macairog S. Alberto, Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) at the RBLF Headquarters, Berakas Garrison as part of his introductory visit to Brunei Darussalam from 15 to 17 September 2019.
Upon arrival at the RBLF Headquarters, the Commanding General of the Philippine Army, Lieutenant General Macairog S. Alberto, was received by Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, Commander of the RBLF. Lieutenant General Macairog S. Alberto then proceed with the inspection of the Guard of Honour mounted by the personnel of Second Battalion RBLF.
Lieutenant General Macairog S. Alberto then had a courtesy call with the Commander of the RBLF. During the courtesy call, both highlighted the close defence relations between the two countries; through exchange of visits and courses. Both sides also discussed on other avenues to expand cooperation, particularly between the two services.
As part of his visit programme, Lieutenant General Macairog S. Alberto had courtesy calls with The Honourable Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Second Minister of Defence and Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) at the Ministry of Defence.
Lieutenant General Macairog S. Alberto also had the opportunity to visit various places throughout his visit such as the RBAF Museum, Fighting in Built Up Areas (FIBUA) Village and RBAF Simulation Training Centre.
An official dinner hosted by the Commander of the RBLF was also held at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison. The dinner was attended by the Commandant of Training Institute, senior officers and officers of RBLF and their respective spouses.
KUNJUNGAN PENGENALAN COMMANDING GENERAL, PHILIPPINE ARMY KE NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
BERAKAS GARISON, Isnin, 16 September 2019 – Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) menerima kunjungan daripada Leftenan Jeneral Macairog S. Alberto, Commanding General, Philippine Army bertempat di Markas TDDB, Berakas Garison sebagai sebahagian daripada kunjungan pengenalan beliau ke Negara Brunei Darussalam yang bermula pada 15 hingga 17 September 2019.
Sejurus tiba di Markas TDDB, Leftenan Jeneral Macairog S. Alberto, Commanding General, Philippine Army menerima tabik hormat dan seterusnya memeriksa Perbarisan Kawalan Kehormatan yang terdiri daripada anggota Batalion Kedua TDDB.
Selepas memeriksa perbarisan, Leftenan Jeneral Macairog S. Alberto, Commanding General, Philippine Army membuat Kunjungan Muhibbah kepada Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, Pemerintah TDDB.
Semasa kunjungan muhibbah tersebut, Pemerintah TDDB dan Commanding General, Philippine Army membincangkan tentang kerjasama yang terjalin khususnya di dalam bidang pertahanan melalui pertukaran lawatan, mesyuarat, latihan dan kursus. Kedua-belah pihak turut membincangkan usaha-usaha meningkatkan kerjasama, terutama diantara kedua tentera darat.
Leftenan Jeneral Macairog S. Alberto juga berkesempatan untuk membuat Kunjungan Hormat kepada Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Menteri Pertahanan Kedua dan Mejar Jeneral Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) di Kementerian Pertahanan.
Diantara aturcara semasa lawatan pengenalan ini, Leftenan Jeneral Macairog S. Alberto juga berkesempatan untuk membuat lawatan ke Muzium ABDB, Perkampungan Fighting in Built Up Areas (FIBUA) dan Pusat Latihan Simulasi ABDB.
Bagi mengalu-alukan kedatangan Leftenan Jeneral Macairog S. Alberto, Majlis Makan Malam juga telah diadakan di Mes Pegawai, Berakas Garison yang dihoskan oleh Pemerintah TDDB. Turut hadir ialah Komandan Institut Latihan ABDB, pegawai-pegawai kanan serta pegawai-pegawai bersama para isteri-isteri.
