BANGKOK, THAILAND, Monday 17 December  2012 – The prestigious decoration of The Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand was conferred to the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand.




The award was presented by His Excellency General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Chief of Defence Force, Royal Thai Armed Forces (RTAF) at the RTAF Headquarters in Bangkok on Monday 17 December 2012. Present at the investiture ceremony were senior official of Brunei Darussalam Embassy to the Kingdom of Thailand and senior ranking officers of the Royal Thai Armed Force’s Headquarters.

In the citation read during the investiture ceremony, the prestigious decoration was awarded in recognition of the Commander RBAF exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of his outstanding service in the position of Commander of RBAF. Also, in this position of great responsibility, the Commander RBAF has demonstrated his distinguished service, outstanding accomplishments, and contribution to the good relation between RBAF and RTAF.

The RBAF Commander and delegation was in Thailand from 16 to 18 December 2012. During this visit, he also made courtesy call to His Excellency General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Chief of Defence Force, RTAF to  further discuss on bilateral cooperation and engagement between the two armed forces. Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin was also honoured to make  an official visit to the 1st Infantry Regiment of The King’s Guard in Bangkok and the Royal Thai Army Special Forces Command at Lopburi.
