MANILA, PHILIPPINES, Tuesday 2 May 2017 – The Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah today made his introductory visit to the Philippine Air Force (PAF).
Upon arrival, the Commander of RBAirF was accorded with an arrival honours at the PAF headquarters, Villamor Air Base and followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument of the Fallen Airmen.
The Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force, Lieutenant General Edgar R. Fallorina then awarded the Commander of RBAirF with the honorary PAF Gold Wings Badge.
During the visit, the Commander of RBAirF also made a courtesy call to the Commanding General of PAF and later on briefed on the organisation and structure of PAF. As part of his programme, he also witnessed a capability demonstration by 505th Search and Rescue Group and the static display of the unit.
