REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Friday, 17 May 2019 – The Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili @ Suhaily made an introductory visit to the Republic of Singapore from 16 to 17 May 2019, following his attendance to the 12th International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (IMDEX) Asia and 6th International Maritime Security Conference (IMSC).
Upon arrival at the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Singapore, the Commander of RBN was welcomed by Rear Admiral Lew Chuen Hong, Chief of Navy, Republic of Singapore, and proceeded to inspect the Guard of Honour, comprising of personnel from the Singapore Armed Forces.
The Commander of RBN called on Dr. Ng Eng Hen, the Minister for Defence of Singapore; Lieutenant General Melvyn Ong, the Chief of Defence Force at the Ministry of Defence; and
followed by a courtesy call to Rear Admiral Lew Chuen Hong, Chief of Navy, Republic of Singapore. During the calls, both sides commended the special friendship which goes beyond 40 years and acknowledged the long-standing bilateral defence cooperation between both countries.

RSS FORMIDABLE at Changi Naval Base.
The introductory visit by Commander of RBN to Singapore highlights the continuous commitment to strengthen the defence cooperation between the RBN and RSN through regular exchange of visits, frequent interactions, professional exchanges, bilateral and multilateral exercises, trainings and courses.
LAWATAN PENGENALAN PEMERINTAH TLDB KE REPUBLIK SINGAPURA
REPUBLIK SINGAPURA, Jumaat, 17 Mei 2019 – Pemerintah Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB), Laksamana Pertama Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili @ Suhaily mengadakan lawatan pengenalan ke Republik Singapura bermula pada 16 hingga 17 Mei 2019, berikutan lawatan beliau ke International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (IMDEX) Asia yang ke-12 and International Maritime Security Conference (IMSC) yang ke-6.
Ketibaan Pemerintah TLDB di Kementerian Pertahanan Republik Singapura dialu-alukan oleh Rear Admiral Lew Chuen Hong, Panglima Tentera Laut Republik Singapura dan kemudian membuat pemeriksaan Kawalan Kehormatan yang terdiri dari Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Singapura.
Pemerintah TLDB telah membuat kunjungan hormat kepada Dr Ng Eng Hen, Menteri Pertahanan Singapura, Leftenan Jeneral Melvyn Ong, Ketua Turus Pertahanan Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Singapura di Kementerian Pertahanan, dan kepada
Rear Admiral Lew Chuen Hong, Panglima TLRS. Kedua belah pihak memuji hubungan pertahanan yang erat di antara ABDB dan Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Singapura yang telah melebihi 40 tahun dan mengesahkan kerjasama pertahanan dua hala di antara kedua buah negara.
