JERUDONG, Tuesday 8 August 2023 – The Ministry of Defence held a Certificates Presentation Ceremony for Ministry of Defence retirees and recipients for the Excellent Civil Service Employee Award (APCPA) at BRIDEX Conference Hall, Jerudong.
A total of 175 civilians of the Ministry of Defence who retired in 2020 and 2021 received their award certificates and souvenirs during the ceremony, followed by the presentation of certificates to three recipients of the Excellent Civil Service Employee Award (APCPA) 2022, consisting of Division II, III and IV officers and staff.
The ceremony started with the recitation of the holy verses of the Al-Quran read by Lance Corporal Zulhilmi bin Julaiha, while the translation was read by Ustaz Haji Abdul Nasir bin Hassan from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT).
The certificates and souvenirs were presented by the Guest of Honour, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II.
In his speech, Yang Berhormat Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II highlighted that the retirees have valuable knowledge and experience accumulated from decades of service, and hoped that the experience and knowledge could be shared with those who are still serving as well as to the younger generation as guidance. Yang Berhormat Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II also recommended that the retirees continue to help the country navigate the current and future development challenges, support the concept of Holistic Defence and the Whole-of-Nation Approach in achieving Brunei Vision 2035 and towards ensuring the country remains peaceful and prosperous.
Also present were Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Yang Mulia Awang Ajman bin Haji Meludin, Permanent Secretary (Civil Service Governance) at the Prime Minister’s Office; Acting Permanent Secretary Ministry of Defence; Services Commanders, Deputy Permanent Secretaries Ministry of Defence, Director-General of Public Services Department, Acting Secretary of Civil Service Commission, Directors and senior officers of the Ministry of Defence and the RBAF.
The ceremony also saw speeches from the Acting Permanent Secretary, Yang Mulia Pengiran Dr Haji Mohd Esa Al-Islam bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Yunus and a representative of the retirees, Yang Mulia Pengiran Mohammad bin pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Jaludin.
The ceremony concluded with a ‘Doa Selamat’ read by Yang Mulia Commander Haji Ainolnizam bin Haji Ibrahim, RBN, Director of JAMA’AT.
The ceremony was held to commemorate the services and give appreciation to all retired officers and staff of the Ministry of Defence for the contributions and services they have given to the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, especially the Ministry of Defence and recognition for the excellence of the officers and staff of Division II, III and IV.
MAJLIS PENYAMPAIAN SIJIL KEPADA PESARA-PESARA AWAM KEMENTERIAN PERTAHANAN TAHUN 2020-2021 DAN ANUGERAH PEKERJA CEMERLANG PERKHIDMATAN AWAM (APCPA) 2022
JERUDONG, Selasa 8 Ogos 2023 – Kementerian Pertahanan telah mengadakan Majlis Penyampaian Sijil kepada pesara-pesara awam Kementerian Pertahanan dan penerima-penerima Anugerah Pekerja Cemerlang Perkhidmatan Awam (APCPA) di Dewan Persidangan BRIDEX, Jerudong.
Seramai 175 orang pesara awam Kementerian Pertahanan yang bersara pada tahun 2020 dan 2021 menerima sijil penghargaan dan cenderahati mereka di majlis ini, diikuti dengan penyampaian sijil kepada tiga penerima Anugerah Pekerja Cemerlang Perkhidmatan Awam (APCPA) bagi tahun 2022 yang terdiri dari pegawai dan kakitangan Bahagian II, III dan IV .
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran oleh Lans Koperal Zulhilmi bin Julaiha, manakala terjemahannya dibacakan oleh Ustaz Haji Abdul Nasir bin Hassan dari Jabatanarah Agama Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (JAMA’AT).
Sijil dan cenderahati telah disampaikan oleh Tetamu Kehormat Majlis Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Pertahanan II.
Semasa ucapan, Yang Berhormat Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Pertahanan II menyentuh bahawa para pesara mempunyai ilmu dan pengalaman berharga yang terkumpul dari beberapa dekad perkhidmatan, dan berharap agar pengalaman dan pengetahuan tersebut dapat dikongsikan dengan mereka yang masih berkhidmat dan kepada generasi muda untuk dijadikan sebagai pedoman dan panduan. Yang Berhormat Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Pertahanan II turut mensyorkan agar para pesara terus membantu negara menyusuri cabaran-cabaran pembangunan masa kini dan yang akan datang, sama-sama mendokong konsep Pertahanan Holistik dan pendekatan senegara (Whole-of-Nation Approach) untuk mencapai Wawasan Brunei 2035 dan kearah memastikan negara kekal aman dan sejahtera.
Turut hadir ialah Yang Mulia Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), Yang Mulia Awang Ajman Bin Haji Meludin, Setiausaha Tetap (Urustadbir Perkhidmatan Awam) di Jabatan Perdana Menteri; Pemangku Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan; Pemerintah-Pemerintah Angkatan Tentera, Timbalan-Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan, Ketua Pengarah Perkhidmatan Awam, Pemangku Setiausaha Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam, Pengarah-pengarah dan pegawai-pegawai kanan Kementerian Pertahanan dan ABDB.
Majlis turut mendengar ucapan daripada Pemangku Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan, Yang Mulia Pengiran Dr Haji Mohd Esa Al-Islam bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Yunus dan wakil pesara, Yang Mulia Pengiran Mohammad bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Jaludin.
Majlis diakhiri dengan bacaan Doa Selamat oleh Yang Mulia Komander Haji Ainolnizam bin Haji Ibrahim, TLDB, Pengarah JAMA’AT.
Majlis tahunan ini diadakan bagi mengenang jasa dan memberikan penghargaan kepada semua pegawai dan kakitangan Kementerian Pertahanan yang telah bersara di atas sumbangan dan khdimat bakti yang telah mereka curahkan kepada Kerajaan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Kementerian Pertahanan khasnya dan pengiktirafan keatas kecemerlangan pegawai-pegawai dan kakitangan Bahagian II, III dan IV.
