PENANJONG GARRISON, Tuesday, 14 August 2018 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) and the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) concluded Exercise Pahlawan Warrior 2018 this morning.
Held at the FIBUA Complex, Penanjong Garrison, the closing ceremony began with a Mission Brief delivered by Major Khairul Faizin bin Abd Ghapar, Officer Commanding of C Company, 1Bn RBLF, followed by a demonstration supported by helicopters, armoured reconnaissance vehicles (tracked) and armoured personnel carriers.
The Exercise is the first exercise conducted between the two Armies. It commenced on the 9 August 2018, with the aim to strengthen cooperation and enhance the skills of military personnel of both countries through jungle training and urban operations.
Present as the Guest of Honour at the ceremony was Colonel Khairil bin Haji Ismail, Chief of Staff, RBLF. Also present at the ceremony was Major General Timothy McKeithen, Deputy Commanding General – National Guard, USARPAC, senior officers and personnel from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and the US Army National Guard.
At the sidelines of the Exercise, Major General Timothy McKeithen paid a courtesy call to Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the RBAF on Monday, 13 August, where both sides reaffirmed that the exercise will enhance the professionalism and interoperability between both armed forces.
As the final conclusion to the Exercise, the closing ceremony witnessed the handing over of the exercise flag from Major Mohammad Roasri Erwan bin Haji Tasrif, Commanding Officer, First Battalion of the RBLF to Lieutenant Colonel Shawn Eaken, Commanding Officer of 1st Battalion, 151st Infantry Regiment, US Army National Guard.
NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM DAN AMERIKA SYARIKAT MENGUKUHKAN PERSAHABATAN DI EKSESAIS PAHLAWAN WARRIOR 2018
PENANJONG GARISON, Selasa, 14 Ogos 2018 – Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei dan United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) telah menamatkan Eksesais Pahlawan Warrior 2018 pada pagi ini.
Dalam satu upacara penutupan rasmi bertempat di Kompleks FIBUA, Penanjong Garison, upacara dimulakan dengan taklimat yang disampaikan oleh Mejar Khairul Faizin bin Abd Ghapar, Pegawai Memerintah C Kompeni 1Bn TDDB. Pertunjukan kompeni seterusnya dilaksanakan dengan bantuan pesawat helikopter, Kereta Perisai Skorpion dan Kenderaan Angkut Perisai.
Eksesais ini merupakan eksesais yang julung kali diadakan di antara Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) dan United States Army Pacific (USARPAC). Eksesais Pahlawan Warrior 2018 secara rasminya bermula pada 9 Ogos 2018, dengan tujuan untuk mengeratkan hubungan dan meningkatkan kemahiran tahap keupayaan anggota tentera kedua-dua negara dalam operasi bandar dan hutan.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat ialah Kolonel Khairil bin Haji Ismail, Ketua Staf, TDDB. Turut hadir untuk menyaksikan upacara tersebut adalah Mejar Jeneral Timothy McKeithen, Deputy Commanding General – National Guard, USARPAC, pegawai-pegawai dan anggota daripada ABDB serta US Army National Guard.
Di samping eksesais itu, Mejar Jeneral Timothy McKeithen telah mengadakan kunjungan hormat kepada Mejar Jeneral Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) pada hari Isnin, 13 Ogos 2018, di mana kedua belah pihak meyakinkan bahawa eksesais tersebut akan meningkatkan profesionalisme dan interoperabiliti di antara kedua-dua angkatan tentera.
Sebagai kesimpulan terakhir bagi Eksesais itu, upacara disempurnakan lagi dengan penyerahan bendera eksesais dari Mejar Mohammad Roasri Erwan bin Haji Tasrif, Pegawai Pemerintah 1Bn TDDB kepada Leftenan Kolonel Shawn Eaken, Commanding Officer of 1st Battalion, 151st Infantry Regiment, US Army National Guard.
