TUTONG, Sunday, 10 December 2017 – The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Sports Council participated in the Boat Race Event at Tutong River which was held in conjunction with the Brunei December Festival 2017.
Among the competitors were the Royal Brunei Police Sports Council, Gata Brunei, Lela Cheteria ‘A’ and ‘B’, Kampong Sungai Bunga Association, Cahaya Saba Team, Belait District Department, and Tutong District Department.
A total of four events were held: Traditional Boat Race Open 20 Rowers 1000m; Traditional Boat Race Open 15 Rowers 1000m; Traditional Boat Race Open 20 Rowers 1000m; and the highlighted event, Traditional Boat Race Open Marathon 20 Rowers.
Out of the four events, the RBAF Sports Council won second place in both the Traditional Boat Race Open 20 Rowers and Traditional Boat Race Open Marathon 20 Rowers.
The Guest of Honour, Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism presented the prizes to the winners.
ACARA LUMBA PERAHU DAERAH TUTONG SEMPENA FESTIVAL DISEMBER BRUNEI 2017
TUTONG, Ahad 10 Disember 2017 – Pasukan Lumba Perahu Majlis Sukan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (MS ABDB) telah ikut serta dalam acara Lumba Perahu Daerah Tutong sempena Festival Disember Brunei 2017 yang berlangsung di Sungai Tutong, Pekan Tutong.
Antara pasukan-pasukan yang turut menyertai acara ini terdiri daripada Majlis Sukan Polis Diraja Brunei, Gata Brunei, Lela Cheteria ‘A’ dan ‘B’, Persatuan Kampong Sungai Bunga, Cahaya Saba Team, Jabatan Daerah Belait, dan Jabatan Daerah Tutong.
Sebanyak 4 acara telah dipertandingkan iaitu Lumba Perahu Tradisi Terbuka 20 Pekayuh 1000m; Lumba Perahu Tradisi Terbuka 15 Pekayuh 1000m; Lumba Perahu Tradisi Terbuka 20 Pekayuh 1000m; dan acara kemuncak Lumba Perahu Tradisi 20 Pekayuh Terbuka Marathon.
Dari empat acara yang dipertandingkan, MS ABDB telah menangi tempat ke-2 dalam Lumba Perahu Tradisi 20 Pekayuh Terbuka dan Lumba Perahu Tradisi 20 Pekayuh Terbuka Marathon.
Selaku tetamu kehormat, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Menteri Sumber-Sumber Utama dan Pelancongan, menyempurnakan hadiah kepada para pemenang.
