RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Tuesday, 24 June 2025 – The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) commemorated its 59th Anniversary with a Parade held at the Mini Stadium, Rimba Air Force Base. The parade served as one of the year's most significant ceremonial highlights, reflecting the force's identity, unity, and dedication to service.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Colonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force. Also in attendance were members of the RBAirF Board of Executives, senior officers, officers, personnel of various ranks, as well as TEMD personnel and civilian staff of the RBAirF.
This year's parade brought together a total of 742 participants, comprising 680 military personnel, including 100 officers and 580 other ranks, supported by 62 TEMD and civilian personnel. The scale and coordination involved reflected the strength of collective effort across the organisation.
The occasion was marked by a powerful display of Royal Brunei Air Force assets, showcasing its multi-domain capabilities. Highlights included the S70i Blackhawk helicopter from No. 1 Wing, ground vehicles from No. 6 Wing, a Rapid Intervention Vehicle and Unmanned Aerial System from No. 3 Wing, and Mistral air defence systems from No. 2 Wing. Collectively, the display highlighted the RBAirF's strength in mobility, logistics, emergency response, reconnaissance and air defence.
The ceremony commenced with the arrival of the Guest of Honour, followed by the parade salute, recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, and a special anniversary address delivered by the Commander.
In his address, the Commander highlighted key milestones achieved over the past year, including the operational deployment of additional C295MW aircraft, the declaration of Full Operational Capability for the Unmanned Aerial System under 39 Squadron, enhancements in pilot and crew readiness, and the launch of the Air Force Domestic Logistics System (ADLS). He further emphasised the importance of professionalism, ethical conduct, digital transformation, and regional defence diplomacy as key pillars in supporting the RBAirF's strategic direction.
As part of the celebration, the Commander presented qualification badges to selected personnel. Engineering Officers from No. 5 Wing received the Aerosystems Specialist Engineer Training (ASET) and Air System Managers Training (ASMT) badges upon completion of their training in the United Kingdom. Officers from 39 Squadron were awarded the Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Mission Commander badges, while officers from No. 2 Wing received the Base Defence badges in recognition of their operational competencies.
The commemoration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and lunch reception at Dewan Punai, providing an opportunity for fellowship and shared reflection among attendees.
The 59th Anniversary Parade encapsulated the RBAirF's continued commitment to operational excellence, professional development, and service to the nation. It stood as a tribute to the enduring spirit of its personnel and a testament to the force's evolving capabilities and collective resilience.
TUDB MEMPERINGATI SAMBUTAN HARI ULANG TAHUN KE-59 DENGAN UPACARA PERBARISAN
PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Selasa, 24 Jun 2025 – Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) telah memperingati Sambutan Hari Ulang Tahun ke-59 dengan mengadakan Upacara Perbarisan bertempat di Mini Stadium, Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba. Perbarisan ini merupakan salah satu acara istiadat utama dalam kalendar tahunan TUDB yang menzahirkan identiti, perpaduan, dan semangat berbakti warga TUDB.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat Majlis ialah Kolonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Pemerintah TUDB. Turut hadir ialah ahli-ahli Badan Eksekutif TUDB, pegawai-pegawai kanan, pegawai-pegawai, anggota dari pelbagai peringkat, anggota TEMD serta kakitangan awam TUDB.
Perbarisan tahun ini melibatkan seramai 742 orang peserta, terdiri daripada 680 anggota tentera termasuk 100 pegawai dan 580 anggota lain-lain pangkat, serta 62 anggota TEMD dan kakitangan awam. Penglibatan secara menyeluruh ini mencerminkan kekuatan kerjasama kolektif seluruh warga TUDB.
Majlis tersebut diserikan dengan pameran aset Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) yang memperlihatkan keupayaan pelbagai operasi. Antara yang dipamerkan termasuk helikopter S70i Blackhawk dari Cawangan No. 1, kenderaan-kenderaan dari Cawangan No. 6,
Rapid Intervention Vehicle dan Sistem Pesawat Tanpa Pemandu (UAS) dari Cawangan No. 3, serta sistem pertahanan udara jarak dekat Mistral dari Cawangan No. 2. Secara keseluruhan, pameran ini menonjolkan kekuatan TUDB dalam aspek mobiliti, logistik, tindak balas kecemasan, peninjauan dan kesiapsiagaan pertahanan udara.
Majlis dimulakan dengan ketibaan Tetamu Kehormat, diikuti dengan tabik hormat perbarisan, bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah, dan ucapan khas Hari Ulang Tahun oleh Pemerintah TUDB.
Dalam ucapannya, Pemerintah TUDB menekankan beberapa pencapaian utama sepanjang tahun lalu termasuk penugasan operasi pesawat C295MW yang baharu, pencapaian tahap Full Operational Capability bagi sistem Unmanned Aerial System oleh Skuadron 39, peningkatan keupayaan juruterbang dan kru, serta pelancaran Air Force Domestic Logistics System (ADLS). Beliau turut menekankan kepentingan profesionalisme, etika kerja, transformasi digital dan diplomasi pertahanan serantau sebagai teras utama dalam hala tuju strategik TUDB.
Sebagai sebahagian daripada sambutan, Pemerintah TUDB telah menyempurnakan penyampaian lencana kelayakan kepada pegawai-pegawai terpilih. Pegawai Kejuruteraan dari Cawangan No. 5 menerima Lencana Aerosystems Specialist Engineer Training (ASET) dan Air System Managers Training (ASMT) setelah menamatkan latihan mereka di United Kingdom. Pegawai dari Skuadron 39 menerima Lencana Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Mission Commander, manakala pegawai dari Cawangan No. 2 dianugerahkan Lencana Base Defence sebagai pengiktirafan kecekapan operasi masing-masing.
Sambutan diakhiri dengan acara memotong kek dan jamuan makan tengah hari di Dewan Punai yang memberi ruang untuk mengeratkan hubungan silaturrahim dan menghargai jasa seluruh warga TUDB.
Upacara Perbarisan Sambutan Hari Ulang Tahun ke-59 ini mencerminkan komitmen berterusan TUDB terhadap kecemerlangan operasi, pembangunan profesional dan khidmat bakti kepada negara. Ia menjadi wadah untuk menghargai semangat juang warga TUDB dan mencerminkan keupayaan serta ketahanan kolektif yang sentiasa berkembang.
