PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday 19 Disember 2014 – A conversion ceremony took place at the Penanjong Garrison Surau this afternoon for 50921 Recruit Fevivian bin Gimbar from the Recruit Company of the 152nd Intake Male Recruit.
Recruit Fevivian made his shahadah and embraced his Muslim faith in the presence of the Acting Commander RBAF, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit as the guest of honour.
Among those at the ceremony were Directors, RBAF senior officers, Religious officers of RBAF, Acting Assistant Director of the Dakwah Islamiah Centre as well as families of the converted recruit.
The ceremony started with the recital of the Al-Quran followed by the declaration of faith before the conversion officer-in-charge from the Tutong District Dakwah Islamiah Centre. Recruit Fevivian chose his Muslim name as Muhammad Ar Rayan Vivian bin Gimbar.
The event also saw the presentation of gift by the Acting RBAF Commander to Recruit Muhammad Ar Rayan. To bless the ceremony, doa selamat was read by Captain Ariffin bin Amit, Assistant Head of RBAF Religious Department.
