BOLKIAH GARRISON, Saturday, 16 February 2013 – The Ministry of Defence and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held a ‘Doa Kesyukuran’ ceremony in conjunction with His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, The Crown Prince, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, and General of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 39th Birthday.

The ceremony held at the Ministry of Defence Surau, Bolkiah Garrison began by recital of Quranic verse by LCpl Pg Mohd Habihazwan Bin Pg Salleh followed by a mass Maghrib prayer and then reading of the ‘wirid’ and ‘doa’.

The Sunnat Hajat prayer was later performed proceeded with the recital of Surah Yassin and special ‘doa’ by Awang Shuib bin Abdullah, Imam of Ministry of Defence Surau, Bolkiah Garrison in honour of His Royal Highness Birthday Celebration.

Present as the guest of honor at this Doa Kesyukuran ceremony was the Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat.

Similar events were held in all garrison and RBAF camps such as Surau Berakas Garrison,  Muara Base Surau, Tutong Camp Surau, Lumut Camp Surau, Bangar Camp Surau as well as Pulau Baru Baru Mosque. The ceremony which was organised by the RBAF Religious Department (JAMA’AT) concluded with the Isya’ prayer.

Also present at the ceremony were Major General Dato Seri Paduka Hj Aminuddin Ihsan Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Hj Abidin, the Deputy Commander of RBAF, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, members of defence Executive Committee, Service Commanders and Commandants as well as Directors.  Other Senior Officers and Officers of Ministry of Defence and the RBAF also attended the event.
