BOLKIAH GARRISON, Monday 27 May 2013 – The National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (LEMHANNAS) conducted a study visit to Brunei Darussalam from 26 to 31 May 2013 as part of the LEMHANNAS’s Strategic Foreign Study Programme Course.
The aim of the visit is to have a better understanding on Brunei Darussalam’s economic, political, socio-cultural development and policies, as well as to strengthen relation and cooperation with related institutions in Brunei Darussalam.
With a total of 27 participants, the delegation was headed by Rear Admiral (Navy) Herry Setianegara, S.Sos, SH, MM. The group visited the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (SHHBIDSS) at the Ministry of Defence where they were briefed on the Defence White Paper 2011. This was followed by lunch hosted by the Permanent Secretary (Defence Policy & Development), Colonel (Rtd) Pg Dato Paduka Haji Azmansham bin Pg Haji Mohamad.
The lunch was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Defence, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and members of the Defence Executive Committee.
