BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday 28 June 2013 – Fifty two children of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel who have achieved excellent results in the public examinations for 2012 were celebrated this afternoon. The event which was held at the Dewan Pahlawan, Berakas Garrison was to commemorate the RBAF 52nd Anniversary.
The Appreciation Award Category and the Execellent Award Category were presented in the form of certificates and cash, were contributions from the Welfare Fund of RBAF. The Excellent Award Category also received incentives in the form of voucher contributed by Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB) and DST Communication Sdn Bhd (DST).
The public exams are categorized as GCE ‘Ordinary’ Level, Primary School (PSR) and Religious School Primary 6 received their achievement awards at this ceremony.
The RBAF make every effort to nurture the spirit and enthusiasm for life-long continous learning at the earliest age as possible. For the Children, incentives such as this will indeed serve as a moral boost and further encourage them to excel in their studies and become role models to their peers. The success of these children will also reflect the success of the RBAF personnel as parents.
The guest of honour at the ceremony was the Joint Force Commander RBAF, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit. Also in attendance were Deputy Commanders and Officers of the RBAF as well as parents, guardians of the children.
MAJLIS MERAIKAN 52 ANAK-ANAK CEMERLANG SEMPENA ULANG TAHUN KE 52 ABDB

– Lima puluh dua orang anak-anak para anggota Angkatan Bersenjata
Diraja Brunei (ABDB) telah mencapai keputusan cemerlang didalam
peperiksaan awam tahun 2012 telah diraikan pada petang ini. Majlis yang
diadakan di Dewan Pahlawan, Berakas Garison adalah bersempena Hari
Ulang Tahun Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei yang ke 52.
Hadiah
bagi kategori Anugerah Cemerlang dan Sijil Anugerah Penghargaan telah
disampaikan dalam bentuk wang tunai sumbangan daripada Tabung Kebajikan
ABDB. Penerima-penerima Anugerah Cemerlang juga menerima baucar
sumbangan dari Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB) dan DST Communication
Sdn Bhd (DST).
Peperiksaan
awam ini terdiri dari peringkat GCE ‘ A’ Level, GCE ‘O’ Level,
Peperiksaan Sekolah Rendah (PSR) dan Darjah Enam Ugama.
ABDB
mengambil segala usaha untuk menanam semangat dan minat terhadap
pembelajaran yang berterusan sepanjang hayat dari peringkat umur yang
muda lagi. Bagi anak-anak tersebut, insentif seperti ini akan menyuntik
moral dan memberi galakkan untuk terus berjaya dalam pembelajaran dan
menjadi contoh kepada rakan-rakan lain. Kejayaan anak-anak ini juga
melambangkan kejayaan anggota-anggota ABDB sebagai ibu bapa dan penjaga.
Tetamu
Kehormat pada majlis tersebut adalah Pemerintah Angkatan Bersama
ABDB, Laksamana Pertama Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd
Tamit. Turut hadir adalah Timbalan-Timbalan Pemerintah ABDB,
Pegawai-Pegawai ABDB dan para ibubapa dan penjaga para penerima
anugerah.
