BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Wednesday 28 August 2013 – This evening Defence Ministers and the Secretary-General of ASEAN who are currently in the country attending the 2nd ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus were hosted at a dinner event held at the Empire Theatre, Empire Hotel and Country Club.
The evening program commenced with a group photo session followed by a video presentation on the ADMM-Plus Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief and Military Medicine Exercise (ADMM-Plus HADR and MM Ex). During the dinner, the guests were entertained to a live performance by local talents.
Hosting the gala dinner was the Chairman of the 2nd ADMM-Plus, The Honourable Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Awang Haji Mohd Yasmin bin Haji Umar, Minister of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office, Brunei Darussalam who also gave a welcoming remark. In the remark, the Chairman took the opportunity to formally welcome the delegates from the ‘Plus’ countries. He added that their presence and participation in the ADMM-Plus are indications of their commitment and solidarity for regional peace and stability.
