SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA Tuesday 8 Oct 2013 – The Royal Australian Navy International Fleet Review was held Saturday morning, 5th October 2013 at the Sydney Harbour to commemorate the centenary of the first entry of the Royal Australian Navy Fleet into Sydney. KDB DARULAMAN was anchored on the north of Shark Island along with 42 other foreign warships, 16 tall ships and 3 civilian ships from 14 countries in Sydney Harbour had the honour to take part in this event.
Her Excellency Quentin Bryce, the Governor-General of Australia was joined by His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and the Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott onboard HMAS LEEUWIN to sail pass and review all participating ships.
Also present during this event was Col (L) Pg Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad, Deputy Commander Royal Brunei Navy was amongst other distinguished guests which includes the Chief of Navies and also representatives.
Prior to this event, the Deputy Commander Royal Brunei Navy attended a welcoming dinner held at HMAS WATSON wardroom hosted by the Royal Australian Chief of Navy, Vice Admiral Ray Griggs.
In conjunction with the International Fleet Review, various events are also organised which includes the Chief of Navy’s Reception, which was held at the Sydney Opera House.
The Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy has also attended the opening ceremony for PACIFIC 2013 International Maritime Exposition and Sea Power Conference held on the 7th October at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Center.
KDB DARULAMAN departed Sydney on the 8th of October and will continue her passage to Surabaya, Indonesia for a goodwill visit before proceeding back to Brunei Darussalam. KDB DARULAMAN is scheduled to arrive Brunei Darussalam on the 28 October.



KDB DARULAMAN MENYERTAI INTERNATIONAL FLEET REVIEW DI SYDNEY

– Upacara Royal Australian Navy International Fleet Review 2013 telah
dilaksanakan pada pagi Sabtu, 5 Oktober 2013 di perairan Sydney Harbour
bagi memperingati satu abad kemasukan kali pertama kapal-kapal daripada
Tentera Laut Diraja Australia ke perairan Sydney. KDB DARULAMAN berlabuh
di utara Pulau Shark bersama dengan 42 buah kapal-kapal perang sahabat,
16 buah kapal layar dan 3 buah kapal awam daripada 14 buah negara di
perairan Sydney Harbour telah diberikan kehormatan untuk menyertai
upacara yang berprestij ini.

Turut
hadir bagi upacara yang berprestij ini ialah Kol (L) Pg Norazmi bin Pg
Muhammad, Timbalan Pemerintah Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei bersama
tetamu-tetamu kehormat yang terdiri dari Pemerintah-Pemerintah dan
perwakilan-perwakilan Angkatan Laut.
Sebelum
upacara ini, delegasi Brunei Darussalam telah menghadiri jamuan makan
malam yang dihoskan oleh Pemerintah Tentera Laut Diraja Australia, Vice
Admiral Ray Griggs yang diadakan di HMAS WATSON.
Bersempena
dengan upacara International Fleet Review Tentera Laut Diraja Australia
ini, berbagai acara telah dirancang untuk diadakan, termasuk Majlis
Resepsi yang dihoskan oleh Pemerintah Tentera Laut Diraja Australia yang
akan diadakan di Sydney Opera House.
Disamping
itu, Timbalan Pemerintah Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei juga berkesempatan
untuk menghadiri upacara pembukaan PACIFIC 2013 International Maritime
Exposition and Sea Power Conference yang diadakan di Sydney Convention
and Exhibition Center pada 7 Oktober.

DARULAMAN bertolak dari Sydney pada 8 Oktober bagi meneruskan
perlayaran ke Surabaya, Indonesia bagi lawatan muhibbah dan akan pulang
ke tanah air pada 28 Oktober nanti.
