BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday, 13 January 2016 – Deputy Minister of Defence, First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit received a courtesy call at the Ministry of Defence from Brigadier General Melvyn Ong, Chief of Army, Singapore Armed Forces.
During the courtesy call, both sides expressed satisfaction on the cordial and active bilateral defence relations shared by Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore, which are enhanced by regular exchange of visits, trainings and courses, joint military exercises, and interaction programmes.
Brigadier General Melvyn Ong begins his three-day introductory visit to Brunei Darussalam from 12 to 14 January 2016.
Brigadier General Melvyn Ong took command as Singapore’s Chief of Army on 14 August 2015.
