BOLKIAH GARRISON, Tuesday 1 December 2015 – The Acting Minister of Defence, First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit received a farewell call from His Excellency Dr. Ashok Kumar Amrohi, High Commissioner of India to Brunei Darussalam, at the Bolkiah Garrison, Ministry of Defence this afternoon.

During the call, both sides discussed about the cordial bilateral defence relation between Brunei Darussalam and India as well as regional issues and current affairs.

His Excellency Dr. Ashok Kumar Amrohi, High Commissioner of India to Brunei Darussalam expressed his satisfaction that defence relation between Brunei and India continued to be strengthened. His Excellency also expressed his appreciation to Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces for the good working relationship he had enjoyed during his tenure in Brunei Darussalam.

The Acting Minister of Defence also echoed His Excellency’s sentiment and wished His Excellency well in any future endeavors.

Brunei Darussalam and India defence relation has been progressing in the past years through various interactions such as exchange of visits, regional military exercises, military and defence related regional meetings, international defence exhibitions, trainings and courses and naval ship visits.
