BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday 6 November 2015 – Twenty-four senior officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) have been promoted by the consent of His Majesty the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, Minister of Defence and Supreme Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), the Royal Brunei Armed Forces to be promoted.
The promotion ceremony took place this morning at the Officers’ Mess, Bolkiah Garrison.
Presenting the insignias was Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the RBAF.
All twenty-four senior officers are promoted to Acting Lieutenant Colonel / Commander namely:

Meanwhile, four Cadet Force Officers (CFO) were also promoted to the rank Captain. These officers are 502 Cadet Force Officer (CFO) Captain Jalil bin Pengarah Haji Kapitan, 507 Cadet Force Officer (CFO) Captain Tikom bin Subi @ Mohd Subhi, 509 Cadet Force Officer (CFO) Captain Haji Zulkiflee bin Haji Jalil and 533 Cadet Force Officer (CFO) Captain Zaidi bin Mohidin.
Present at the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Defence, First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, members of Defence Executive Committee, Service Commanders, Commandants, Directors, Senior Officers and Officers of Ministry of Defence and RBAF as well as family members of the promoted senior officers.
The RBAF promotion exercise is part of an ongoing effort to recognise, reward and continue groom officers who have performed well and demonstrated potential to contribute further to the RBAF. All promotions will take effect from 30 October 2015.
