BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday 2 September 2015 – More than 100 students from Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam together with their parents, carers and staff head by Diana Solinap, Pusat Ehsan Program Coordinator visited RBAF Museum at Bolkiah Garrison.
As part of the topic “Occupation”, the said trip provides the opportunities for the special students to see and explore military transportations, old uniforms and weapons since the formation of RBAF on 31 May 1961 until present.
The group was welcomed by MINDEF Spokeperson, Major Muhammad Kasim bin Haji Awang Yusof and Sergeant Ali Muzrin bin Abdul Raapar, Assistant Curator of RBAF Museum. Prior to museum tour, they provided a short briefing about the museum health and safety procedure.
Finally, the group presented a token of appreciation to RBAF museum for their kind accommodation and support to Pusat Ehsan Community Awareness Program.
The RBAF Museum was officially opened on 1 June 2013 by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in conjunction with RBAF 52nd Anniversary. It is open to public visits every day except Monday and Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm.
Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam continues to expose the special needs students to varied learning experiences that will help them make sense of the world around them. As such, the students learn experiences that will help them to explore and respond to their local community.
