BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Wednesday, 5 August 2015 – The Ministry of Defence and its comprising directorates and departments is holding a Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebration this afternoon, which has been taken place at the BRIDEX hall, Jerudong.
The gatherings were attended by the Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat as the guest of honour and spouse, Pgn Datin Hajah Jamilah binti Pengiran Haji Mohd Yusof. Also presents at the celebration was Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Yang DiMuliakan Pehin Dato Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah; Acting Permanent Secretary; Deputy Permanent Secretary; Civilian and Military Directors, officers and personnel of the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
Both Deputy Minister of Defence and Commander RBAF took the opportunity to mingle around with all civilian and military officers, staff and personnel by visiting their tables while video clips presentation were shown and stage performances by representatives from each departments lead by ‘The Hunters’ of RBAF Band were performed.
The theme for this year’s Hari Raya celebration is ‘Harmoni Hari Raya’, which is aspiring towards the sense of togetherness between all levels of organization among the civilians and the military personnel that has been long portrayed through a rapport teamwork and collaborations.
