NEPAL, Sunday 3 May 2015 – The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Medical teams continues their best treating and caring for the residents of Gorkana in Nepal despite the growing needs for medical attentions which keeps the clinic busy with more than a 100 patients a day.
Yesterday, doctors and medics successfully treated about 300 victims of the Nepalese earthquake at Gorkana site up to 5 pm (Saturday, May 2). They treat injuries such as sprain, bruises & chronic asthma, diarrhea and dehydration.
After a busy day, the medical teams return back to their accommodation at the International Airport Base Camp where they are joined up with the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and various foreign armed forces providing relief aid.
It is reported that a team from Singapore Ministry of Health will join the RBAF and SAF Medical Team to provide aid. A mobile medical team will be deployed today to explore further new areas.
Supported by equipment and supplies, the unit is prepared to treat hundreds more patients over the coming days, where possibly thousands in outlying areas remained trapped under the rubble of the April 25 quake that has already claimed more than 5,000 lives.

LEBIH 100 MANGSA GEMPA BUMI DIRAWAT SETIAP HARI

NEPAL, Ahad 3 Mei 2015 – Pasukan perubatan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) terus berusaha untuk memberikan rawatan dan tumpuan kepada penduduk Gorkana di Nepal meskipun permintaan untuk rawatan semakin meningkat, dimana membuatkan klinik terus sibuk dengan kedatangan pesakit yang jumlahnya lebih dari 100 pesakit setiap hari.
Semalam, doktor dan medik berjaya merawat kira-kira 300 mangsa gempa bumi Nepal di tapak Gorkana sehingga 5 petang (Sabtu Mei 2). Rawatan-rawatan yang diberikan adalah seperti anggota badan terseliuh, lebam & asma kronik, cirit-birit dan dehidrasi.
Selesai saja memberikan rawatan, pasukan perubatan kembali ke tempat penginapan mereka di Pangkalan Perkhemahan Lapangan Terbang di mana mereka disertai oleh Angkatan Bersenjata Singapura (SAF) dan pelbagai angkatan tentera asing yang menyediakan bantuan kemanusiaan.
Satu pasukan dari Kementerian Kesihatan Singapura juga telah tiba semalam dan menyertai Pasukan Perubatan ABDB dan SAF untuk memberikan bantuan. Satu pasukan perubatan bergerak juga akan dihantar hari ini untuk meneroka tempat-tempat lain terjadinya gempa bumi .
Didokong dengan alat peralatan dan bekalan, unit ini yang bersedia untuk merawat beratus-ratus lebih ramai pesakit pada hari-hari yang akan datang, di mana kemungkinan besar beribu-ribu mangsa masih terperangkap di bawah runtuhan di kawasan-kawasan terpencil semasa kejadian gempa bumi pada April 25 yang telah mengorbankan lebih 5,000 nyawa.
