RIMBA, Monday 23 March 2015 – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Minister of Defence and Supreme Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), has consented to award Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU), the Honourable Air Chief Marshal TNI Agus Supriatna with the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) Honorary Pilot Wing. The ceremony took place at the Royal Brunei Air Force Base in Rimba this morning.
The RBAirF Honorary Pilot Wing was presented by the Acting Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit. This award was recognition for his valuable efforts and outstanding services he has been contributing in strengthening the ties between the RBAirF and TNI AU.
Upon the arrival of the Honourable Air Chief Marshal TNI Agus Supriatna at the Rimba Air Base, he received a Guard of Honour from the RBAirF personnel at the Royal Brunei Air Force Headquarters.
This was followed by the courtesy call on the Commander of RBAirF, Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Wardi bin Haji Abdul Latip.
Amongst the programme outlined for the Guest of Honour includes visit to the RBAF Museum in Bolkiah Garrison, paying courtesy call to Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, Deputy Minister of Defence and paying introductory call on the Acting Commander of RBAF, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit.
The Honourable Air Chief Marshal TNI Agus Supriatna was appointed as the Chief of Staff Indonesian Air Force on 15 January 2015. Air Chief Marshal TNI Agus Supriatna began his career in the military in 1983 as the Pilot Officer to 11 Squadron after graduating from the Air Force Academy during the same year. Throughout his service, he has held various administrative and managerial appointments including Chief of Section for Training and Operation to No. 11 Squadron IWY AFB, Commander to No. 102 Education Squadron, Flight Education Wing ADI AFB, Guidance Officer Air Force Command & Staff College, Chief of Staff No. 1 Air Operation Command, Vice Inspectorat General to C-in-C, IAF, Chief of General Staff of Indonesian Armed Forces and finally Chief of Staff Indonesian Air Force in 2015.
The Honourable Air Chief Marshal TNI Agus Supriatna is married to Ibu Bryan Supriatna and together they are blessed with one son and two daughters.
