MUARA, Monday 2 March 2015 – The Royal Brunei Navy today held a change of command parade for the Fleet Commander at the Bravo Jetty, Royal Brunei Navy. The signing of documents was undertaken by the Fleet Commander, Colonel (L) Haji Yusuf bin Masron, who handed over the command to the new Fleet Commander, Lieutenant Colonel (L) Pg Mohammad bin Pg Haji Damit.
Upon arrival at the Jetty Bravo, the Fleet Commander received the General Salute and inspected the Parade consisting of Fleet personnel led by the parade commander, Captain (L) Haji Abdul Hafiz Mubarak bin Haji Rusli.
The event began with the recital of Surah Al–Fatihah led by Ustaz Muhd Rafiuddin bin Haji Muhd Ali, Religious Staff of RBN followed with a speech delivered by the outgoing Fleet Commander Colonel (L) Haji Yusuf bin Masron. The ceremony was concluded with a Doa Selamat to bless the event.
The event continued with the signing of documents by the outgoing and new Fleet Commander, marking the formal handover of duties. After the signing of the documents, the new Fleet Commander, Lieutenant Colonel (L) Pg Mohammad bin Pg Haji Damit received the General Salute and inspected the Parade.
Colonel (L) Haji Yusuf bin Masron assumed command of the Fleet on February 03, 2014 until the date of the Handover Ceremony is made.
