MUARA, Wednesday 7 January 2015 – The Royal Brunei Navy Regiment Sergeant Major (RSM), Warrant Officer 1 (L) Pg Mohd Soffian bin Pg Haji Metussin, hosted a 4-day annual interaction programme of the Warrant Officers and Specialists Exchange Programme between the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) for the year 2014/2015.
The RSN Delegation was headed by the Master Chief of RSN, ME6 Phui Peng Sim.
The rest of the delegation consist of; ME4 Wong Ban Choong, Master Chief Naval Military Expert Institute; Warrant Officer 1 Chiang Chee Mun, Master Chief Clearance Diving Group and ME2 Ong Chee Leong, 191 Squadron Fast Craft Training Unit Training Supervisor.
The delegation made a courtesy call to the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Force Sergeant Major (FSM), Warrant Officer 1 Ahmad bin Haji Abdul Kadir at the Ministry of Defence and followed by a courtesy call to Lieutenant Colonel (L) Haji Yusuf bin Masron, the RBN Acting Deputy Commander at Muara Naval Base.
The delegation had the opportunity to listen to the presentation about the RBN Vision, Mission and Roles presented by, Warrant Officer 2 (L) Haji Mazlan bin Haji Badul. During the discussion session, both warrant officers from RBN and RSN had a very engaging and positive discussion on sharing initiatives and ideas in tackling the challenges faced by both organizations. Such programme is envisaged to enhance the long-standing relationship between RBN and RSN not limited to the higher levels but spiral down to multiple levels within both navies.
The delegation had the opportunity to witness the culture and prominent landmarks in Bandar Seri Begawan.
