KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA Thursday 13 November 2014 – The Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Yussof bin Haji Abd Rahman who is also the Acting Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces RBAF), made a courtesy call on the Minister of Defence, Malaysia, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Seri Hishamuddin Tun Hussein at the Wisma Pertahanan, Kuala Lumpur. Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Yussof was in Kuala Lumpur on a farewell visit.
Earlier, he made a courtesy call to Yang Berbahagia Jeneral Tan Sri Raja Mohd Affandi Bin Raja Mohamed Noor, Chief of Malaysian Army.
The Malaysian Defence Minister underscores the long standing relationship which both countries nurtures in all areas particularly in defence which both Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia closely shares.
The visit by Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Yussof underlines the close defence ties between Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam. Under his, professional interactions between the Malaysian Army and Royal Brunei Land Force have grown in scope and complexity. Both forces engage regularly in a wide range of professional exchanges and bilateral exercises.
These extensive interactions have enhanced the cooperation and professionalism of the armies through military training and exercises, exchange of information on matters pertaining to security, training and defence products, as well as exchange of visits between the respective defence and military officials.
