BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday 24 October 2014 – A Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony was jointly held for the return of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel who participated in the 10th International Monitoring Team (IMT) bound for Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines and RBAF personnel in the peacekeeping mission under United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
 
The 10th IMT contingent led by Lt Col Khairil bin Haji Ismail returned home on 9 September from the Republic of the Philippines comprised of 8 RBAF and one Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) personnel.
 
While 26 RBAF personnel who were embedded under the command of Malaysian Battalion 850-1 (MALBATT 850-1) returned home on 3 October was led by Major Saifulizan bin Mohd Tuah.
 
The ceremony at Ministry of Defence Surau began with the recitation of verses from the Quran followed by recitation of Surah Yassin, Doa Kesyukuran and Dikir Marhaban and mass Asar prayer.
 
Present at the ceremony was the Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat. Also present were Commander of RBAF, Yang DiMuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Acting Director of Operations Department, ACP Haji Mohd Don bin Haji Harith members of Defence Executive Committee, civilian and military directors as well as senior officers and personnel from the Ministry of Defence and the RBAF.
