AUSTRALIA, Sunday 18 May 2014 - Eighteen personnel from the Royal Brunei Land Forces’ (RBLF) Shooting Team have safely returned to the Sultanate after participating in the annual Australian Army Skill At Arms Meeting (AASAM) 2014, held from 29th April to 16th May 2014 at Puckapunyal, Victoria, Australia.

This year, the RBLF Shooting Team has displayed a successive and impressive performance and perhaps bettering their competition in the previous AASAM by bagging 5 x Gold, 7 x Silver and 1 x Bronze in various matches.

12290 Pte Khairulizam bin Bagol stole the limelight as he emerged as champion in the Individual Pistol Match by obtaining three gold medals. 10427 Sgt Remeoaddy bin Musim has also won first place in the Sniper Match (Match 200 Sniper Badge Test) while 17381 Pte Md Erwan bin Md Hilmi and 16651 Pte Rosli bin Hj Badar bagged their gold medal in the LSW/GPMG Falling Plate Match.

The RBLF Shooting Team has also won silver medals in the Pistol and Rifle Match. In the Pistol Match, 17013 Pte Eddy Kasuma bin Haji Awg Omar won 2 silver in Pistol  Match Advanced Application of Fire and Individual Pistol Match. Whereas 12290 Cpl Khairulizam bin Bagol, 15007 Cpl Usmarizal bin Haji Usin, 17013 Pte Eddy Kesuma bin Haji Awg Omar and 18020 Pte Junaidi bin Kassim  won silver respectively in Pistol Match. And, in the Rifle Match, 16651 Pte Rosli bin Haji Badar won silver in Rifle Match 24 Moving Target. 10295 Sgt Mohamad Amil bin Amin also won the third position in Match 200 Sniper Badge Test.

A total of 15 teams from Australia, Canada, French Forces New Caledonia, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, United Kingdom and the United States were participating alongside Brunei Darussalam competitors in AASAM 2014.

Brunei Darussalam’s participation, apart from competing in shooting skills, was also aimed at fostering unity, friendship, trust and understanding among participating countries.

TDDB RAIH PINGAT EMAS DI KEJOHANAN AUSTRALIAN ARMY SKILL AT ARMS MEETING (AASAM) 2014


AUSTRALIA, Ahad 18 Mei 2014 -
Seramai 18 orang anggota yang terdiri daripada Pasukan Penembak Tentera
Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah selamat tiba ke Negara Brunei
Darussalam selepas menyertai Kejohanan Menembak Annual Australian Army
Skill At Arms Meeting (AASAM) 2014, yang bermula pada 29 April hingga 16
Mei 2014 di Puckapunyal, Victoria, Australia.

Penyertaan
dari Pasukan Penembak TDDB pada tahun ini telah berjaya mempamerkan
satu prestasi yang sangat cemerlang berbanding dengan penyertaan
pertandingan AASAM yang lepas dengan berjaya mengutip 5 Pingat Emas, 7
Pingat Perak dan 1 Pingat Gangsa dalam beberapa acara perlawanan yang
disertai.

Sld Khairulizam bin Bagol tampil meraih gelaran juara dalam acara
Menembak Pistol setelah berjaya mengutip 3 Pingat Emas dalam acara yang
sama. Pada perlawanan Penembak Tepat (Match 200 Sniper Badge Test)
tempat pertama dan ketiga telah berjaya diraih oleh 10427 Sjn Remeoaddy
bin Musim dan 10295 Sjn Mohamad Amil bin Amin.

Sementara
bagi acara perlawanan yang lain, Pasukan Penembak TDDB tetap menunjukan
komitmen dengan memberikan saingan serta turut berjaya mengutip Pingat
Perak bagi perlawanan Pistol and Rifle Match. Bagi acara Pistol Match,
17013 Sld Eddy Kasuma bin Haji Awg Omar meraih 2 Pingat Perak bagi
Pistol Match Advanced Application of Fire dan Individual Pistol Match.
Manakala 12290 Kpl Khairulizam bin Bagol, 15007 Kpl Usmarizal bin Haji
Usin, 17013 Sld Eddy Kesuma bin Haji Awg Omar dan 18020 Sld Junaidi bin
Kassim masing-masing meraih 1 Pingat Perak bagi Pistol Match. Manakala
bagi acara Rifle Match, 16651 Sld Rosli bin Haji Badar meraih Pingat
Perak bagi Rifle Match Moving Target. Manakala 17381 Sld Md Erwan bin Md
Hilmi dan 16651 Sld Rosli bin Hj Badar bergelar juara bagi perlawanan
LSW/GPMG Falling Plate Match.

Sebanyak
15 buah buah negara turut serta dalam kejohanan AASAM pada tahun ini.
Negara yang terlibat adalah Australia, Kanada, French Forces New
Caledonia, Indonesia, Jepun, New Zealand, Filipina, Papua New Guinea,
Singapura, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, United Kingdom dan Amerika
Syarikat.

Penglibatan
Negara Brunei Darussalam selain bersaing dalam kejohanan kemahiran
menembak, juga bertujuan memupuk perpaduan, persahabatan, dan
meningkatkan kepercayaan serta kesefahaman diantara negara-negara yang
mengambil bahagian.​
