SINGAPORE, Wednesday 7 May 2014 – The opening ceremony of bilateral Exercise Maju Bersama between Brunei and Singapore was held at Bedok Camp, Singapore and was co-officiated by the Acting Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), Colonel Pg Dato Paduka Aminan bin Pg Haji Mahmud and the Chief of Staff-General Staff of Singapore Army, Brigadier General Lim Hock Yu.
The ceremony also witnessed the flag handing ceremony from Major Pg Muhd Khairollah bin Pg Haji Zainal, Officer Commanding of B Company, 1Bn RBLF to Lieutenant Colonel Fairoz bin Hassan, Commanding Officer of 1st Guard Singapore Infantry Battalion.
Royal Brunei Land Forces sent 123 personnel from 1st Battalion, participated in this year’s exercise started from 5-17 May 2014.
The focus of the exercise this year is on the urban operations. This will not only improve skills and knowledge but also enhance interoperability between the two armies.
