BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday 14 June 2017 – The Warrant Officer, Staff Sergeant and Sergeants (WO, SSgt and Sgt) Mess this evening organised a religious ceremony with former Force Sergeant Majors (FSM) and Regimental Sergeant Majors (RSM) at the Ad-Difa Surau, Ministry of Defence.
Present as guest of honor was Field Sergeant Major Ahmad Bin Haji Abd Kadir of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). Also present were Warrant Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers at the Bolkiah Garrison.
The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Yassin and Tahlil, mass Maghrib prayers and followed by the break of fast. Subsequently donations were also presented to orphans to supplement for the upcoming celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
In spirit of the month of giving, the event was aimed to enliven the holy month of Ramadhan, to aid those less fortunate and at the same time also strengthen the friendships between the current and past FSMs and RSMs of the RBAF.
PENGHORMATAN KEPADA MANTAN-MANTAN FSM/RSM DI BULAN RAMADHAN
BOLKIAH GARISON, Rabu 14 Jun 2017 – Mes Pegawai Waran, Staf Sarjan dan Sarjan (PW, SSjn & Sjn) pada hari ini menganjurkan majlis keugamaan bagi mantan-mantan Sarjan Mejar ABDB (FSM) dan Rejimen Sarjan Mejar (RSM) di Surau Ad-Difa’, Kementerian Pertahanan.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat majlis ialah Sarjan Mejar di Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), Ahmad Bin Haji Abd Kadir. Turut hadir di majlis ini ialah Pegawai-Pegawai Waran dan Pegawai-Pegawai Tidak Bertauliah Kanan di Bolkiah Garison.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Yaasin, Tahlil, sembahyang Maghrib berjemaah diikuti dengan acara berbuka puasa. Seterusnya sumbangan derma juga diberikan kepada anak-anak yatim sebagai persediaan mereka menjelang sambutan Hari Raya Aidilfitri nanti.
Sempena bulan yang mulia ini, majlis tersebut diadakan untuk menyemarakkan lagi bulan suci Ramadhan, untuk menolong mereka yang kurang bernasib baik dan pada masa yang sama mengeratkan lagi hubungan silaturahim dan ukhuwah persahabatan di antara mantan-mantan FSM/RSM dan anggota-anggota ABDB.
