BERAKAS, Tuesday 11 April 2017 – The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), in conjunction with its 56th Anniversary, is holding its 2017 Career and Health Promotion Roadshow today at Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Abu Bakar (SMSAB). The theme of the roadshow is “Improving Quality of Life Through a Healthy Lifestyle”.
A collaboration between the RBAF and the Ministry of Education, the roadshow includes presentations from several RBAF units that provide information about the breadth of opportunities that the military profession has to offer and also creates awareness of living a healthy lifestyle among the new generations. The career presentations are delivered at the SMSAB library by representatives from the Royal Brunei Land Force, Royal Brunei Navy, Royal Brunei Air Force, Medical Reception Services and Recruiting Office RBAF.
The roadshow also features an array of military and medical displays that provide students with interactive experiences, free health screenings and information booths.
The objective of the event is to encourage young students to pursue careers in the military profession and its necessary qualifications, as well as to educate students about general military life, and the importance of public health and healthy issue.
The roadshow is officiated by the Guest of Honour, Colonel (Dr.) Hafizul bin Awg Hassan, Acting Commander of the Combat Service Support together with Director from the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education.
Schools that were invited to the career roadshow were Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Abu Bakar, Sekolah Menengah Rimba, Sekolah Menengah Rimba II, Sekolah Menengah Lambak Kiri, Maktab Sains Seri Paduka Begawan Sultan, Sekolah Menengah Sultan Sharif Ali, Sekolah Menengah Berakas, Sekolah Menengah Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah and St. Andrew’s School.
The Career and Health Promotion roadshow will be held until 12 April 2017 at the Multipurpose Hall of Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Abu Bakar.
ABDB MENGADAKAN JERAYAWARA KERJAYA DAN PROMOSI KESIHATAN
BERAKAS, Selasa 11 April 2017 – Jerayawara kerjaya dan promosi kesihatan tahun 2017 sempena Sambutan Hari Ulang Tahun Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei ke-56 bermula hari ini di Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Abu Bakar (SMSAB). Tema jerayawara adalah “Meningkatkan Kualiti Hidup Melalui Gaya Hidup Sihat”.
Merupakan usahasama antara ABDB dan Kementerian Pendidikan, jerayawara kerjaya dan promosi kesihatan ini terdiri daripada beberapa taklimat dari unit-unit ABDB yang memberikan maklumat tentang bermacam jenis bidang tentera yang ditawarkan, serta mewujudkan kesedaran hidup gaya hidup sihat di kalangan generasi-generasi baru. Taklimat-taklimat ini disampaikan di perpustakaan SMSAB oleh wakil – wakil dari Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei, Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei, Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei, Khidmat Perubatan ABDB dan Pejabat Pengambilan ABDB.
Jerayawara juga mempunyai pelbagai pameran-pameran ketenteraan dan kesihatan yang mana memberikan para pelajar pengalaman interaktif, pemeriksaan kesihatan percuma, dan pondok-pondok maklumat.
Matlamat acara ini adalah untuk menggalakkan pelajar-pelajar menceburi kerjaya dalam bidang tentera dan kelayakannya yang diperlukan, serta kepentingan kesihatan awam dan isu-isu kesihatan.
Pembukaan jerayawara ini telah dirasmikan oleh Tetamu Kehormat, Kolonel (Dr.) Hafizul bin Awg Hassan, Pemangku Komandan Khidmat Bantuan Kombat bersama dengan Pengarah Jabatan Sekolah – Sekolah, Kementerian Pendidikan.
Sekolah- sekolah yang dijemput untuk jerayawara kerjaya dan promosi kesihatan adalah Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Abu Bakar, Sekolah Menengah Rimba, Sekolah Menengah Rimba II, Sekolah Menengah Lambak Kiri, Maktab Sains Seri Paduka Begawan Sultan, Sekolah Menengah Sultan Sharif Ali, Sekolah Menengah Berakas, Sekolah Menengah Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah dan St. Andrew’s School.
Jerayawara kerjaya dan promosi kesihatan ini akan dijalankan sehingga 12 April 2017 di Dewan Serbaguna Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Abu Bakar.
