BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday 30 March 2017 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) emerged as champion in the Royal Brunei Armed Force (RBAF) Orienteering Competition held at the Dewan Kemasyarakatan Mukim Sengkurong area today by collecting 2675 points.
The runner-up went to the Special Force Regiment (SFR) with 2575 points while the Ministry of Defence came in third place with 2185 points.
In the Individual Categories, the category for those aged 40 years old and above was won by 12394 SSgt Yatek bin Jurani (RBLF). Meanwhile 13912 SSgt Md Norisman bin Ismail (RBLF), 17869 Cpl Mohammad Waliuddin bin Awang Besar (SFR) and 19876 LCpl Ak Md Fazrin bin Pg Hj Abu Bakar (SFR) won the categories for 35 to 39 years old, 30 to 34 years old and 29 years old and below respectively.
The participating teams were Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF), Special Force Regiment (SFR) and the Ministry of Defence.
The orienteering competition was aimed to test their map reading skills as well as their mental and physical endurance. In this competition, the participants were tasked to find allocated check points within a given time period.
Present as the Guest of Honour to present prizes was the Acting Commander of RBAF, Brigadier General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pg Haji Mahmud. Also present were Services Commanders, Commandants, directors, senior officers and other RBAF personnel.
TDDB JUARA PERLAWANAN MERINTIS PERINGKAT ABDB 2016/2017
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Khamis 30 Mac 2017 – Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei muncul juara di perlawanan merintis peringkat Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) bertempat di kawasan Dewan Kemasyarakatan Mukim Sengkurong hari ini dengan mengumpul sebanyak 2675 mata.
Naib johan dimenangi oleh Rejimen Pasukan Khas (RPK) dengan 2575 mata manakala Kementerian Pertahanan jatuh di tempat ketiga dengan mengumpul 2185 mata.
Bagi Kategori Perseorangan, Kategori 40 tahun ke atas dimenangi oleh 12394 SSjn Yatek bin Jurani (TDDB). Sementara 13912 SSjn Md Norisman bin Ismail (TDDB) memenangi bagi kategori 35 ke 39 tahun, 17869 Kpl Mohammad Waliuddin bin Awang Besar (RPK) bagi kategori 30 ke 34 tahun dan 19876 LKpl Ak Md Fazrin bin Pg Hj Abu Bakar (RPK) bagi kategori 29 tahun kebawah.
Pasukan yang ikut serta terdiri dari Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB), Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB), Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB), Institut Latihan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (IL ABDB), Rejimen Pasukan Khas (RPK) dan Kementerian Pertahanan.
Perlawanan merintis ini adalah bertujuan untuk menguji kemahiran membaca peta mereka dan pada masa yang sama menguji ketahanan mental dan fizikal mereka. Di dalam perlawanan ini, peserta-peserta diberikan masa yang terhad untuk mencari ‘check points’ yang telah ditetapkan.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat untuk menyampaikan hadiah ialah Brigadier Jeneral Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pg Haji Mahmud, Pemangku Pemerintah ABDB.
Turut hadir ialah Pemerintah-pemerintah Angkatan Tentera, Komandan-komandan, pengarah-pengarah, pegawai-pegawai kanan dan anggota-anggota ABDB.
