BOLKIAH GARRISON, Monday 9 January 2017 – The Ministry of Defence today conducted a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Familiarisation Course for its senior executives held at the Lecture Theatre, Tower Block, Bolkiah Garrison.
Present were the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Captain (R) Abd Rahman bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, RBN.
Also present were members of the Defence Executive Committee, Service Commanders, Military and Civillian Directors, Heads of Departments as well as other senior officers.
The course, co-organised by the Inspectorate Unit RBAF and Megamas Sdn. Bhd., aims to raise awareness on the importance of managing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management System which includes the application of the Brunei Workplace Safety and Health Order 2009, the role of senior management in driving health and safety, measuring safety performance and setting Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely (SMART) targets.



KEMENTERIAN PERTAHANAN ADAKAN KURSUS PENYESUAIAN KESIHATAN, KESELAMATAN DAN PERSEKITARAN (HSE) BAGI EKSEKUTIF-EKSEKUTIF KANAN
BOLKIAH GARISON, Isnin 09 Januari 2017 – Kementerian Pertahanan pada hari ini telah mengendalikan Kursus Penyesuaian Kesihatan, Keselamatan dan Persekitaran (HSE) bagi eksekutif-eksekutif kanan di Dewan Kuliah, Blok Menara, Bolkiah Garison.
Turut hadir ialah Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah dan Setiausaha Tetap di Kementerian Pertahanan, Kepten (B) Abd Rahman bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, TLDB.
Juga hadir ialah ahli-ahli Jawatankuasa Eksekutif Pertahanan, Pemerintah-Pemerintah Tentera, Pengarah-Pengarah Tentera dan Awam, Ketua-ketua Jabatan serta pegawai-pegawai kanan.
Kursus yang dianjurkan bersama oleh Unit Inspektorat ABDB dan Megamas Sdn. Bhd. ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan kepentingan pengurusan kesihatan dan keselamatan tempat kerja yang termasuk pengenalan dan aplikasi Perintah Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Tempat Kerja Brunei 2009, peranan pengurusan kanan dalam mendorong kesihatan dan keselamatan, sukatan prestasi keselamatan serta menetapkan sasaran berdasarkan konsep Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely (SMART).
