BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday 14 December 2016 – Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received a courtesy call from Commander Lee Chang Hun, the Defence Attaché of the Republic of Korea accredited to Brunei Darussalam today.
The RBAF Commander welcomed Commander Lee Chang Hun to Brunei Darussalam and congratulated him on his new appointment as the Defence Attaché of the Republic of Korea, accredited to Brunei Darussalam. Both sides discussed about welcoming any opportunities to explore the potential areas in which bilateral military and defence relations can be further enhanced between the two countries.
During the call by the Defence Attaché of the Republic of Korea, RBAF Commander expressed his appreciation for the constant support given by the Republic of Korea to the RBAF, in particular during international events and exercises that the RBAF have hosted in the past, which include Brunei Darussalam’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2013, 16th CHOD in 2014, the 8th APICC, 44th PASOLS and the recent ADMM-Plus Maritime Security and Counter-Terrorism Exercise in May 2016. The RBAF Commander expressed his interest and support for more interactions between both armed forces in the future.
