BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 09 December 2016 – Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received a courtesy call from His Excellency General TNI Mulyono, the Army Chief of Staff, Indonesian National Army, this morning. Also present during the call was Brigadier General Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pg Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces.
During the call, RBAF Commander welcomed His Excellency General TNI Mulyono and delegation to Brunei Darussalam. Yang Dimuliakan Pehin also conveyed his condolences for the lost of three personnel from the Indonesian National Army in a military helicopter crash in North Kalimantan on 25th November 2016, as well as the recent earthquake at Banda Aceh on 7th December 2016.
Both sides expressed their satisfaction on the cordial and active bilateral defence relationship shared between the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and Indonesian National Armed Forces, as well as the close friendship between the Royal Brunei Land Forces and Indonesian National Army. Both armed forces share a strong bilateral defence cooperation and mutual trust through regular visits, trainings, courses and joint military exercises.
