BOLKIAH GARRISON, Monday 28 November 2016 – Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received a courtesy call from the Defence Advisor of the Republic of South Africa accredited to Brunei Darussalam, Colonel Louis Johannes Buys.
During the call, Commander RBAF welcomed Colonel Louis Johannes Buys to Brunei Darussalam and both sides also discussed opportunities to explore to strengthen the friendship and professional cooperation between both armed forces and countries in general.
Brunei Darussalam and South Africa established diplomatic relations on 5 October 1996 and both countries are members of the United Nations, the Commonwealth and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
