BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Sunday 11 September 2016 – The Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held mass recitations of the Takbir Hari Raya simultaneously held at all the prayer halls in the military garrisons and camps, ushering in the start of Hari Raya’ Aidil Adha.
The ceremony was attended by officers and personnel of RBAF who performed mass Isya prayers followed by the sounds of the Takbir Hari Raya ‘Aidil Adha. As a sign of gratitude to Allah (SWT), the recitation of the takbir commenced from the 10th day of Zulhijjah and will end after the end of the Tasyriq days, the 13th day of Zulhijjah every year.

TAKBIR HARI RAYA ‘AIDIL ADHA
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Ahad, 11 September 2016 - Kementerian Pertahanan dan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) telah mengadakan Majlis Malam Takbir Hari Raya ‘Aidil Adha secara serentak di semua surau-surau dalam garrison dan perkhemahan tentera, bagi menandakan kedatangan Hari Raya Aidil Adha.
Majlis dihadiri oleh para pegawai dan anggota ABDB dan dimulakan dengan sembahyang fardhu ‘Isya berjemaah dan diteruskan dengan laungan takbir Hari Raya ‘Aidil Adha beramai-ramai.
Sebagai tanda kesyukuran kepada Allah (SWT), takbir hari raya mula dilaungkan bermula masuknya pada 10 Zulhijjah dan akan berakhir selepas berakhirnya hari-hari Tasyriq iaitu terbenamnya matahari pada 13 Zulhijjah.
